The Cornish Arms Inn nr Port Isaac is a 16th Century coaching Inn, ideally located in the pretty hamlet of Pendoggett, c.2.5 miles from the historic fishing village of Port Isaac via the B3267 and B3314. Port Isaac has become famous over the years, not just as a fishing village but also as the home of Fisherman’s Friends, a group of local fishermen who are a world famous sea shanty group of singers, and more recently film stars after the release of the successful movie based on their story. Port Isaac is also the home of Doc Martin, and the film Saving Grace widely thought to be the pre-cursor to Doc Martin was filmed in part in the Cornish Arms.

In its own claim to ghostly fame, The Cornish Arms Inn nr Port Isaac used to have its own brewery in years past, and allegedly the landlord’s daughter drowned in a vat of ale, some visitors and locals say they can sense her shadowy presence in the rear courtyard where the vat used to stand!

Look out for our seasonal specials.

We also have residents’ car parking for up to 35 cars with a convenient bus stop across the road to Port Isaac for those who prefer not to navigate parking in Port Isaac.
